Take a trip to CACC at 2741 S Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60608 and visit/volunteer/adopt/foster/donate. CACC is the only city shelter. It "protects public safety and ensures the humane care of animals through sheltering, pet placement, education and animal law enforcement."

PNP is a nonprofit "meeting place for volunteers engaged in the valuable services of rescuing, sheltering and adopting animals, and volunteer pilots and plane owners willing to assist with animal transportation."

​

With the help of volunteers, they save thousands of innocent lives every year. You can volunteer as a pilot/flight coordinator/foster etc.
